Sand Springs is taking small business to a whole new level. With the conditions we have been forced to live with thanks to COVID-19, shops have had to revamp and think through how they will get their products to customers. Our shop owners here in Sand Springs have buckled down and created a more meaningful shopping experience through social media, website updates and inviting guests in for a safe, in-person experience.

We also got to chat with Yellow House Market & Boutique. Yellow House offers clothing, jewelry, shoes, gift items, home goods, Kendra Scott, Brighton, children’s clothing, gift wrapping and more! They are one of the front runners of getting the best use out of their social media platforms. They currently have Facebook lives, a live-streamed video on their Facebook page, where they share about their products and style them! “I love the community of business owners,” said the owner of Yellow House,” The community over competition spirit that we have and hope all to succeed! I love the variety of businesses and that you can park and walk from place to place.” Yellow House has also been a forerunner in the application of the CDC guidelines to make sure their customers are shopping in a safe, clean environment where they feel most comfortable. For sales and discounts, keep an eye out on their social media pages!
Last but certainly not least we wanted to showcase one of the most delicious restaurants around, Little Venice! Little Venice is a one of a kind warm and welcoming place that serves exceptional Italian food. Your nose can lead you to their storefront in downtown where they say they love, “Being part of the unique history of Sand Springs”. When you walk in the front door you will be greeted with a big smile, under a mask of course because they take all necessary precautions and deeply care about the safety of their customers. We know you will be excited to hear that they have two special dinners coming up: March 7th, Beer and Wine Dinner and April 4th, Easter Brunch.
Supporting local businesses is what keeps the community alive in small towns. We want to encourage our community members to support shops like Coble’s Creations and Blush Hair and Makeup Lounge. Take a moment to visit websites of local shops, give them a follow on social media, and interact with new business owners as we all walk through this pandemic together. Sand Springs really is a splendid place to live, work, and shop!
