City of Sand Springs invites volunteers to clean up park
Cleanup event set for March 28, 2015
Sand Springs, OK-  The City of Sand Springs invites volunteers to join City crews tomorrow, Saturday, March 28th at 8:00 a.m. to pick up debris and trash at River City Park.
“The outpouring of requests to volunteer has been enormous,” said Parks Director, Grant Gerondale.  “We would like to invite those community members out to River City Park and show it some love.”
Volunteers are required to check in at the soccer parking lot in River City Park between 8 and 9 a.m.   Volunteers will be required to sign a release waiver before they begin working.
Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate shoes and clothing items for picking up trash and debris.  Please bring your own work gloves or other safety gear and water bottles.
“This park sees a lot of traffic from our many sports clubs and teams that visit each week,” says Gerondale. “This clean up day is really important so our families can get back in and start enjoying it.”
