From Jadine Nollan:
Dear Sandites and all of those in District 66,
Just as knowing your neighbor is important it is also very important to know who is representing your town’s interest in the State. My name is Jadine Nollan and I am the State Representative for House District 66, which includes the City of Sand Springs.
I’ve lived in Sand Springs over 50 years and through a lifetime of living in our community I can say, “I love who we are!” I feel so honored to serve as the State Representative for House District 66. Our founding father, Charles Page, had a motto for his life, “Think Right.” Two words that convey a meaningful message, “Our thoughts are powerful!’ They have a direct impact on the quality of our lives.
It”s a message that I took to heart which inspired me to adopt a motto for my own life, “Love God, Love People.” Because if you love God and love People then you will “think right” and “act right” when it comes to taking care of the people you serve. I believe God put me in this position so I trust him to direct me. I truly care about the people that I serve and want great things for our community so I take my work seriously. My life verse is Ephesians 3:20 – Now to him, by the power at work within us, is able to do superabundantly, far above all that we ask or think-infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams.
I’ve been pushed out of my comfort zone in many ways throughout this journey. I’m a public servant in a political position whose goal is to work together with my community to bring about common sense solutions that will benefit our District and all Oklahomans. Serving in this position has not been without it’s challenges but it has allowed me to walk out my faith with an underlying purpose which is to Love God, Love People and to fulfill my responsibilities in a way that brings honor to my district. For that I’m very grateful.
I hope to have the opportunity to meet each of you and plan to stay in this wonderful town that we call home. In case I don’t see you Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Sandites!
