CURRENT MAGAZINE:

Thanksgiving Meals are getting ready to go to homes and organizations that need them in Sand Springs and surrounding areas, all thanks to Sand Springs United Methodist Church.
This yearly tradition features 1,000 meals, sent out to the 74063, 74127, and 74107 zip codes.
The meals are products of donations, mainly from businesses and people in the community wanting to help.
When the Thanksgiving season hits, the church sends out anywhere from 900-1,000 postcards to the community to places like retirement centers, Sand Springs Community Services, and other homes.
If you’re looking to help provide meals or donate money, you can call the church at 918-245-5955. They will accept cash, or you can even mail them a check.
Their biggest need is money and full pies. They want to make sure every donation destination has complete, full pies that aren’t sliced.
If you’re wanting to help deliver the meals, you can show up on Thanksgiving morning at the Sand Springs United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center, located at 101 West 38th Street.
They usually start early morning on Thanksgiving, trying to hand out the meals around 10 a.m.
