City of Sand Springs and Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce partner on Business Incubator
The City of Sand Springs and the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce are joining forces on a business incubator in Sand Springs.
Formerly the city’s Public Works Administrative Offices at 109 North Garfield, the building will now serve as an economic development tool for the city’s downtown district.
The new lease aims to create economic development, developing jobs and small businesses in the downtown district. The 7,000 square foot building features more than a dozen offices, several restrooms, on-site parking and a lobby. The space is structured for the Chamber to create a business incubator model, working as a co-space for small business startups.
The Chamber lease highlights a $1/year rent for the building, with a portion of proceeds generated to be directed into a long-term building maintenance fund for the property.
The Chamber says they will start to roll out plans for the site over the next several months. They say they want everything to be done right because it takes a lot of preparation to make a business incubator successful.
