City of Sand Springs adding new trail segment
Sand Springs, Oklahoma – New trail improvements are coming Monday to Sand Springs.
The City of Sand Springs announced Thursday the latest trail improvement project to hit the town.
It’s called the Highway 97 Trail Extension Project, funded in part by ODOT.
The city says the project will add a new trail segment designed to connect Sand Springs’ trail network from 34th Street to 41st Street South along Highway 97.
On Monday, June 4th, construction is slated to commence, expected to last 120 calendar days.
The city says the trail surface will be 10 feet wide, made of concrete.
Temporary closures to some commercial entrance drives will happen at different points during the construction process, but the city says the contractor will keep at least one lane of each entrance open at all times.
