We’ve made it to the end of January, Sandites! We think you deserve a sweet treat for making it through the month, so for this week’s sandwich, we’re sharing how to make this grilled almond butter, pomegranate and dark chocolate sandwich.

Ingredients:
Whole grain bread
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons almond butter
2 squares dark chocolate
1-2 tablespoons pomegranate perils
 
Directions:
Butter the outside of bread slices, and spread almond butter on the insides. Put the dark chocolate squares on top of the almond butter and top with pomegranate perils. Put the other slice of bread butter-side-up on top of the pomegranate perils. Grill sandwich in a skillet over medium heat. Flip when the bottom is browned (about 2 to 3 minutes), and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the other side. Dig in!
