Local Business: Sand Springs Flowers
Sand Springs Flowers had its ribbon cutting and open house on Tuesday, marking another unique spot for downtown Sand Springs.
The Sand Springs community proudly welcomed locals Jessica and Jonathan Hendricks to the new spot at 214 N. McKinley Ave.
Charles Page, the City of Sand Springs’ founder, built the original location on Main Street more than 100 years ago.
Jessica took over the business on January 17, 2018.
“The most fun part about today is the history,” Jessica said. “The new place we are at was at the Sand Springs Railway, which was also something that Charles Page had a hand in.”
After 109 years, Jessica said she didn’t want the legacy to end.
“That’s why we are at our new spot,” Jessica said. “We host classes here. We hope it will be more of a gathering place.”
If you’re hungry, while you’re shopping for flowers you can also find Glacier Confection chocolates.
With two certified Master Florists, a new location and a lot of community support, Sand Springs Flowers says they are happy and optimistic about the future.
