Staycation in Sand Springs
Craving a “relaxing bed and breakfast stay in your choice of lakeside log cabins, scenic bluff-top cabins, or authentic Indian tipis?” It sounds like a much-needed staycation, if you ask me. The best part…? You can find it right here in Sand Springs!
Meadow Lake Ranch is a weekend getaway paradise for two, a breathtaking wedding venue, and an exciting dude ranch with fun for the whole family! This summer, make plans for a relaxing staycation that may include a romantic cabin with a big ol’ country breakfast in the morning or an action-packed family getaway filled with activities like bank-fishing, hiking, horseshoes, and nap-inducing hammocks.
“We purchased the 260 acres in 1999,” said Sue Warren, “[and] then opened Meadow Lake Ranch as a bed and breakfast and venue to the public in 2007.” At the urging of family and friends, they decided to offer the ranch as a bed & breakfast, as well as a venue for weddings and events. The first of 5 log cabins went up in 2004.
“Being close to Route 66, we have hosted guests from all over the world 𑁋 our most famous guest being Sir Paul McCartney,” said Warren. “We have also been privileged to host the New York cast of Wicked for a day of dude ranch activities.” Most recently, the Oscar nominated movie Minari was filmed at Meadow Lake Ranch.
As a staycation destination for all, both couples and families can enjoy the beauty of old-growth forest, the natural hay meadow, bass fishing on the private lakes, and hiking just minutes away from downtown Sand Springs. Guests can stay in the fully-furnished cabins with lakeside patios and get away from their day-to-day routine and into the beautiful outdoors.
It’s not everyday you come across such an amazing vacation spot only moments away from your hometown. Get ready for this summer by booking some quality time as a couple, family, or with some friends! You can book your staycation at the click of a button on Meadow Lake Ranch’s website, www.meadowlakeranch.com.
